Over a year ago i discovered Instagram, while i was learning all the different Apps on my new iphone,then i learned that gorgeous chantelle from Fat mum slim was running a fun challenge " A photo a day Challenge" every month,well i joined haven't looked back. i have enjoyed taking my daily shots & using all my different effects with my phone.i have meet some amazing people and have found lots of inspirational pages. A mansion getaway

Over the weekend hubby & i decided to take a short night away from routines & have a kid free night away at the most beautiful hotel located right here in the outskirts of Melbourne. When you arrive at the hotel you forget where you are for just a moment,it has a classic yet modern style, lots of history, a fancy restaurant and a Day spa.

once you check in you really have no need to travel but only around the surroundings of the mansion.i arrived home yesterday feeling relaxed,refreshed and ready to start my new week with a clear head.

Had such a fun weekend with great company,lots of laughs,feel very relaxed and look forward our next adventure with great friends & family;)

Remember a while back when i was telling you all how i dreamed of having my own space and not having to work on the kitchen table anymore...well the time has come when my lovely hubby decided to move all his junk out of the study and let me go crazy with it. WELCOME to my HAPPY space.

i love to spend most of my time in here when i'm creating,love the feel and the space,still needing some more little items to add in the room but so far i love it.
i have a huge table to work on and lots of room to add my art around.still deciding whether i should paint pur red wall but for now its kinder growing on me:)

Hope you all had a fabulous Mothers day,as always i was spoiled and loved every minute of waking up on sunday to a cooked breakfast in bed, and share all my boys gifts that they all bought all by themselves this year,especially the gift i recieved from my 5 year old son,as it was a MUST to buy this mummy a Purple unicon pillow pet..yes! i now have my very own pillow pet and i LOVE it as it came from the heart,it was that or a a nerf gun .

hi everyone sorry it's been too long since my last post,STILL HERE ...between kids,work & being sick with this crazy cough that just wont leave me alone,i cant keep up with everything at the moment,but i'm all good just wanted to pop in and say hi and share some sweet deligful gifts for Mothers Day that i find Delious and Fabulous.

With Mothers Day only a few days away why not spoil yoursef or your special mum with some candles,perfume and sweet pastels

do you remember when i posted about being inspired by pretty butteflies?

After doing some research,shopping around and finding lots of pretty things to experiment with,i was ready to start,at the begining i was so confident and sure that it was only going to take me a day to complete.MMM....

all i can say is i'm still working on it and its been 4 days already, it's taking me longer than i thought,with lots of patience and sticky fingers from the glue, i'm getting there slowly,fingers crossed it works the way i picture it in my head.wish me luck as i'm almost done.

hi everyone i have just reached my Day 20 on my Photo a day challenge this April with Instagram organised by Fat Mum Slim,my image for today was {something you drew}...well this image wasn't from me exactly, it was drawn by my gorgoeus boy Lucas who is 5,i can't tell you enough how proud i am of all my boys having mummy's artist abililty..love it so much and it makes me so proud to see how they see the world in there drawing.

My Month ...a bit of this and that

School Holidays are over tomorrow and i'm going to miss my boys being home very much,its been such a fun school holiday but its time to get back into routine.its been ages since i last blogged and i have missed it.It has been a crazy month being April,Easter and having lots of birthdays around us including Lucas's big milestone ( 5).Over the month April i have still loved taking part of Photo of a day with Fat slim Mum on Instagram,heres what i'm up Lately:

I'm loving watching shows that i have saved at the moment and watch at night while boys are alseep with hubby,my favourite is REVENGE,Mobwives and now started watching Hart of Dixies which is quite funny.

i have been doing some re-arranging around the home especially changing the boys room once again.very relaxing for me but for some might think its a little crazy,i have finally bought frames and hung all my old pictures & paintings on the wall after almost year since we painted our home,especially the one i purchased through My sweet Prints a while back with the chervon background & heart in the middle ( picture to come soon).

Mellis Design's has been good,bit slow but it gives me time to start thinking of new ideas and some new designs to show everyone and post in my new store Etsy ,i have decided that with all my stores around Esty is still my favouitret so i might close all my others to not confuse people.what do you think? is it better to have more one or easy to just follow one store??

So there you have it a whole month full of changes and lots of fun around Melli's Designs, my boys are growing up so fast and it saddens me abit but that's life,so i must embrace it and have fun with it,my dog Rex shows us everyday how you should enjoy life,his such a character and after 8 months of having him his has bought us such sweetness and laughter to our family,as you may remember Rex was saved by my hubby, when he found him he was overweight,unwell and scared of kids..now his loves Oscar our littel terrier and our family.His a joy to have around.hope you all have been well ...Happy sunday to all my loveies that still pop over here from time to time:)

5 years ago today, my baby Lucas was born on Easter,I remember it like yesterday.i welcomed a third child to my little family with happyness & joy,there were lots of sleepness nights,fights with boys for sharing,lots of love & cuddles.

Today he has gone through term 1 of school being a big boy at only 4.5 years old as a preppie with excellent results,his learned how to ride his bike without trading wheels all by himslelf and his a pro at video games like the Wii & Xbox
His funny,cheeky and can always melt my heart ..his come along way so fast and how proud we are:)

Happy new month to all... can't believe its april already,lots happening here,school hoildays has began and its been so much fun spending time with my boys and their busy social lifes,easter is aproaching this weekend,my little cookie is 5 on thursday i know already!! and my little sister is celebrating her birthday the day after lucas's birthday.

This month i started another PHOTO A DAY CHALLENGE with fat mum slim for photo a challenge over at instagram,i loved sharing my photo's for january and February but missed march so i'm back on board.

at the moment i have been inspired by ballerina's as you may have noticed i love to create them in many ways in my work,whether it's on prints or my favourite on canvas,i love there unique style and there grace which has always inspired me dearly...so yesterday i decided to create a new style of art by using doily prints for my backdrop which i must say "LOVE IT"!! and beautiful fabric as her tutu.

Last week i finished the most prettiest wall art and wanted to share with you all today.Loving the color purple used with touches of pink,blue and sparkles.My favourite had to be the 3D butteflies which i think just made my work look amazing and very pretty.hope you like it i know Miss bella was very excited and happy:)

It's my Birthday!

Today is my birthday!! woke up this morning feeling happy,old yet very special. i was such a lucky girl today as never or on rare occasions my hubbie shops with me,he likes to leave the shopping up to me,so i love going on my on, but today he took me out to breakfast & ...... shopping!!, he held his head up high and walked,walked and walked till i was shopped out,so proud of him ,not a word of complaing and rushing me hehe. I got very spoilt with lots of art-brushes,nail,which might sound boring to some but this gal was super excited,most impotantly my boys suprised me with a gorgeous diamond faced white watch which is so gorgeous i couldn't bare to take it off tonight.One thing i kept thinking today is OMG i am 40 in 3 years..where did the years go by so fast.hope you all enjoyed your day also:)

it been a very busy and creative week here at melli's designs.i'm proud to share my new prints available soon to mellisdesigns.

Being inspired with fashion illustrations,i wanted to explore with lady images & watercolor paints,still learning styles & techniques,but i'm so happy with how it had turned out,looking unique and very pretty,i think she needs to be a bit happier as i'm kinder thinking she looks alittle sad..what do you think? Good morning lovelies how are we all? this week i'm recovering from a sore back so i have plenty of time to get creative & inspired while i'm resting.Speaking of INSPIRED i love to find pretty decor that captures what i love to use and decorate around my home.so today i want to show you what i find Simple & Pretty.I believe that you should KEEP It SIMPLE when decorating and doing anything you love , because it allows you to show everyone great Style,Balance and prettyiess by only forcusing on one thing,which then allows it to stand out.

hi all i'm still here, just having a few issues with blogger at the moment.This month has creeped up very quickly and flying past very fast for me.Kids are all back at school and my littel Lucas loves it.As much as i miss him not being at home ,i'm enjoying my time also,as i've managed to clean out my junk at home ,update my artworks and launched a new store on line, i now have a store on BIG CARTEL were you can order all my atworks & prints with no fuss....please pop by and check it out,i'm still decorating my home and we are still trying to finish painting the house, only 2 rooms to go..bought some new linen for my bedroom with a touch of yellow and chevron and yes i bought some new cushions for my lounge..but shhh dont tell hubby as he thinks i have addiction lol ...all will be revealed very soon:)

new chapter for my boys : first day of school

Today was my little mans first day of school,can't believe he has reached another milestone in his life,you would think that by being my third it would be easy but i struggled today to see my baby all independent, if you were all thinking was there any tears involved? NO i did hold back the tears{ just} but i kept thinking today were did those years go by, this time 6 years ago i was nervous having my big boy starting school,my youngest in kinder and another one on the way,sometimes i wish there was a pause button to stop my boys from growing up so fast { sniff sniff},so today i sent a grade 5,grade 4 & a preppie to school,mummy is feeling a little lost today as they start a new chapter of school life and a new milestone for all 3 of them. To all the little ones starting first day of school hope you all had fun and to the mummies out there enjoy the moment:)
